CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
DeCarbon Tokyo 2025 is a strategic conference focused on Japan’s evolving carbon market and its role in global climate finance. The agenda explores the integration of domestic mechanisms such as J-Credit and the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) into compliance frameworks, alongside emerging linkages with international systems like the EU ETS and China ETS.
Day one examines Japan’s carbon credit market growth, including nature-based solutions, CCUS, and agriculture-linked projects, with corporate case studies on offsetting and Scope 3 strategies. Day two turns to carbon removal technologies, assessing commercialization, MRV standards, and financing models across BECCS, Direct Air Capture, biochar, mineralisation, and marine CDR.
The event convenes policymakers, corporates, and innovators to shape Japan’s position as a bridge between Asian and global carbon markets.
